Benefit of Thrivent Financial Membership

As a benefit of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans membership, Thrivent Financial, Thrivent Asset Management, LLC** and Thrivent Life Insurance Company*** will provide two different types of funding support for a Thrivent Builds Worldwide trip.

  1. Thrivent Financial benefit members* age 16 or older will have all required per person donations to the Habitat for Humanity host affiliate waived — a value of $500.**** Individuals who are not benefit members but who are age 16 or older and have a Thrivent Mutual Fund account or an insurance or annuity contract issued by Thrivent Life Insurance Company will also have required per person donations waived through a similar benefit offered by these subsidiaries, regardless of their membership status. These waived donations result in an overall lower trip cost for Thrivent Financial members.

Verify your eligibility to find out whether you qualify for this benefit.

  2. Thrivent Financial will provide a $10,000 donation per team to the Habitat for Humanity host affiliate.**** Habitat for Humanity affiliates that host Thrivent Builds Worldwide teams will receive $10,000 donations from Thrivent Financial. These funds will be used in future Habitat house-building projects in the country in which the Thrivent Builds Worldwide trip takes place. (Funds will not go to defray trip costs). This $10,000 house sponsorship represents an unprecedented commitment by Thrivent Financial to help develop Habitat for Humanity’s international capacity. It will allow trip participants to leave a lasting impact on the countries they visit.

All Thrivent Financial members—including family associate members—count toward the 50 percent of total participants necessary to qualify as a Thrivent Builds Worldwide Trip.

Verify your eligibility to find out whether you qualify for this benefit.

* "Benefit members" generally are those who have been admitted into membership and own Thrivent Financial for Lutherans insurance or annuity products.
** Thrivent Asset Management, LLC is a registered investment adviser that provides investment management services to the Thrivent Mutual Funds.
*** Thrivent Life Insurance Company is a life insurance company domiciled in Minnesota that issued variable life insurance and variable annuities to members prior to the time that state law authorized fraternal benefit societies to offer these products.
**** Because Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is making a $2.5 million donation to help Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast build a community of up to 40 homes on behalf of its members, there is not a per-team donation to that host affiliate. There are no required per person donations required for Gulf Coast Community trips, so the $500 fee waiver does not apply. Rather, the overall trip cost is reduced by $100 for Thrivent Financial members participating in Gulf Coast Community trips.
