As an ecumenical Christian housing ministry, Habitat
for Humanity is a great fit with Thrivent Financial’s mission
as a faith-based membership organization. For more than 14 years, Thrivent
Financial has joined Habitat in its dream to change lives by building
affordable homes with families in need of decent housing. Together, Habitat and Thrivent
Financial have built more than 500 homes during the successful relationship.
This relationship brings both financial support and volunteers to help
Habitat increase its homebuilding capacity and serve even more families.
It’s a great program for both organizations. Thrivent Builds Homes
is just one component of the largest homebuilding and fund-raising program
in Habitat’s nearly 30-year history. The program also includes
Thrivent Builds Neighborhoods and Thrivent Builds
Worldwide.
